Every camera movement flatters a different kind of space. Here's the cheat sheet we use when animating a full listing.
Room by room
- Exterior / curb appeal: Push In. A slow approach toward the front door feels like arriving home.
- Open living areas: Pan Left or Right. A lateral sweep shows how spaces connect.
- Kitchens: Orbit. A gentle arc around the island adds depth and makes counters read larger.
- Staircases & vaulted ceilings: Rise & Tilt Down. Vertical motion emphasizes height.
- Bedrooms: slow Push In. Calm, minimal motion keeps the feeling restful.
- Backyards & pools: Push Out. Starting tight and revealing the full yard delivers the "wow" of scale.
Two rules that always apply
First: slower is more expensive-looking. If a movement feels dramatic, dial it down one notch. Second: vary movements across the video; three push-ins in a row feels mechanical; alternating direction keeps the eye engaged.
When in doubt, Push In. It's the most forgiving movement and works on 80% of real estate photos.
